This cart lasted me for 3 uses. Count 'em. THREE uses.First time, I used it to get groceries from the grocer down the block. Second use, to carry my laundry downstairs to the laundry room. And today, once again using it to carry my groceries home. Half-way home, the front legs buckled forward and I had to lean the cart backward to roll it solely on the back wheels just to get it home.I have some physical handicaps, and living where I do (New York City), having a good, strong and durable cart is a must. I walk to the grocery store, and also use the cart to haul my laundry down to the laundry room. I had bought a $12 cart from a local shop near my home, which served me for about 3 months; thin, cheap metal, horrible plastic rear wheels that are much like those on a child's toy, that break apart when it's hot out or rolling over sidewalk cracks and crossing streets. Finally, that cart breathed its last mission and I purchased this cart with the basket from Unique Imports. When I received the cart, I was not impressed. The metal of the cart is as thin as the $12 cart I was replacing. I was expecting so much better.First Issue Encountered:I could not put my cart together when I received it, as it was missing the pins for the rear wheels. I sent a message to the seller, and they were quick to resolve the issue! With a new hardware kit in the mail as I write this. That was the plus that eased some of the negative with the cart's qualitySecond Issue EncounteredI was not impressed with the wheels of this cart. The rear wheels are thick plastic, much like the wheels on a child's toy, and exactly like those of that $12 cart that finally became unusable. I do like the swivel wheels in front; perhaps with this addition, it will be less stress to the crappy rear wheels. However, considering that the weak frame in the front of the cart that the swivel wheels are attached to, that's where the real concern and problem lies with this cart.Third Issue Encountered. The front wheels assembly. This includes the thin aluminum frame (definitely not steel) that the wheels are attached to. As earlier stated, I was returning home with a cart full of groceries, when the front tires hit an unlevel crack in the sidewalk and the front legs buckled forward so far, that I had to lean the cart backward and roll it solely on the back wheels just to get it home.Fourth Issue Encountered. This cart is EXTREMELY REAR HEAVY, and can be potentially dangerous. I've used the cart mostly for carrying my laundry to the laundry room in my building. If you don't have anything heavy in the front part of the cart, and you place items such as laundry detergent, etc., the cart will tip backwards and fall. With my old cart, I could hang (with clothes hangers) my few blouses on the handle of the cart, and even my slacks, as I take them from the dryer; easily up to 10 items could hang without an issue. With this cart, I learned a painful lesson. I had my plastic bag of clothes hangers in the back compartment, and about 5 cotton short sleeved blouses, hanging from the handle, as well as some clothes folded and placed inside a bag within the front bin of the cart. I turned to reach inside the dryer, and the cart tipped backwards, spilling my clean clothes on the floor, but also ripping a long gash in my leg.I now place two big bricks in the front bin of the cart to ensure it stays down while I fold my clothes to re-load in the cart to take back home.Last Thing:Don't buy the card for the lining bag. It's thin, and not exactly sturdy, but it's nice; the mesh bungee cord is cool too.I WILL NEVER buy another of these carts, I feel the seller made the cart seem much sturdier than it truly is. I found a similar cart with real, metal wheels in the rear, and the metal cage of the cart of a little heavier grade. A much sturdier cart for not much more. I wish I had seen it first, but I will definitely take the trip uptown to purchase it now.I contacted the seller with photos of the wheels and how they had bent irreparably. I was sent out a new cart right away. We didn't have to return the broken cart, so my husband saved the wheels as back-ups, and the small parts that were worth saving as well. The REPLACEMENT CART was exactly the same, however, the wheels were not the cheap plastic as with the original cart I received. The wheels are actually rubber and better quality. Which leaves me to believe the seller sent us an old, outdated, or cheaper model.I've (carefully) taken it out for one road trip, but I babied it the entire way, creeping the streets and tiptoeing over cracks in the sidewalks. So used the cart for the first time today. When it arrived I was nervous the box was a bit banged up and worse for wear. I tasked my teenager with assembly and it seemed to go smoothly in that I slid the box next of him after dinner and went to take a shower when I got out it was parked outside my bedroom and my son was back to playing a video game. Now my partner and I enjoy Looking at craft fairs and have a few we really like especially for Christmas shopping but all the walking and carrying feeling like a packhorse. Legs sore arms ache and back and shoulders SCREAMING. Last year begged to take the shuttle back to the car then was in pain from the strain of bear hug carting things while others hang from backpack purse. Last year the hosts of the fair had carts kinda like these that were given to donors of the fundraiser to use. I was jealous, I did lots of shopping bought lots but the carrying. I vowed to play smarter the next year. I did my homework on and off for months. Read reviews checked weight limits styles cloth or wire, size and value storabilty. I settled on this one I liked the extra mini basket the liner and size. Today was the maiden voyage. We shopped and we bought and we wandered and looked this cart was a blessing. We did not use the net over top as we were in and out but instead clipped it over the little basket and it held our cups slipped in the holes upright. There was plenty of room for everything and although some of the rougher ground (roots mud rocks etc.) was harder to maneuver wheels never did like muddy rocks. we managed well. On the pavement it was a dream when we were done shopping and at the same place last year that had us tired sore and aching all over, this time happy smiling and skipped the shuttle and walked back to truck. Some commented about height I am 5 5 my partner is 6 5 neither had an issue. We swapped back and forth not due to fatigue but more due to shoulder to shoulder crowds taking turns to slip into tighter booths, the cart does take up some room in a crowd.not as much as a baby stroller but as much as a very large guy( football player) all and all very happy. 4 not 5 due to packaging
